Bourne To Plaster is Dave and a small team of City & Guilds qualified plasterers, working out of Bourne End across south Buckinghamshire and the Thames valley.
Who we are
Who you’re dealing with
We are a plastering firm and nothing else. No building arm, no sales team, no call centre. Dave prices the work himself, and the plasterers who turn up are the ones on the payroll, every one of them City & Guilds qualified and covered by our insurance.
The bulk of our week is skimming and ceiling repairs on houses around Bourne End, Wooburn Green, Flackwell Heath and Marlow. Plenty of it comes from neighbours who saw a van outside and asked, which is the reason we sweep up properly before we leave.
We work on commercial property too: offices, shops, rentals and managed blocks. We are happy to work to a builder’s programme rather than hold a site up. Whatever the job, you get a price in writing before anyone lifts a trowel.
How we work
Four things every job has in common
Whatever its size, from a single ceiling patch to a house full of skimming.
Flat means flat
Run a straight edge over it. The finish is the whole product in this trade, so it gets checked in raking light before anyone calls it done.
Prep before plaster
Beads, scrim, bonding, clean backgrounds. Most of a finish that lasts happens before any plaster goes near the wall.
Left tidy
Floors sheeted, sockets masked, dust kept down and everything swept before we go. Plastering is messy work. Your house shouldn’t be.
Straight answers
If a patch will do the job we will tell you. If the whole ceiling needs to come down we will tell you that too, and price it before we start.

Qualified and covered
The paperwork matters as much as the plaster. Everyone on our jobs is qualified and insured, and you are welcome to see all of it before we start.
